I'm going to "Nam"

One more sleep and I'm off to "Nam."  Why you ask. It's a country I've wanted to go see since 1994/95. I saw a movie called Indochine with Catherine Deneuve.  The scenery was spectacular and I said to myself I have to go there one day. It's taken me 20 years but I'm going.  And of course growing up during the Vietnam War. (In Vietnam it is called the American War) with all the anti-war songs, movies and TV shows. (Remember China Beach) Vietnam has always intrigued me. To think that such a small poor country could defeat the USA. (That's for Norm - Gill if you're reading this.)

I'm taking a GAdventure Tour for two weeks which covers the highlights of Vietnam. From the mountains near the border of China, Hanoi, Halong Bay, beaches on the South China Sea to the Mekong Delta.  And of course Saigon.

After that on to Cambodia.

It's going to be a long flight, approx. 28 hrs. to Hanoi, via Toronto and Seoul, Korea.   Can hardly wait.
